harvest update

On Sunday, October 11, we hosted a benefit dinner and auction called Harvest for Habitat. This was the first of a planned 3-event series, Homes for Habitat, that will feature themed fundraisers held at the private homes of some of our supporters. After months of preparation by committee members and Habitat staff, our hard work and effort paid off as SGV Habitat raised over $11,000 through ticket sales and both silent and live auctions. The keynote speakers were members of the Frausto family, who moved into their Habitat home in 2007 and shared how having a house of their own has changed their lives. We would like to sincerely thank our guests, auction item donors and bidders, and especially our committee members for successfully starting up our Homes for Habitat series!
